3. For a third and subsequent conviction, of not less than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) and not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Each act of driving on the highways as prohibited shall constitute a separate offense.
